Rain and cloudy days since the beginning of spring, resulted in above-average rainfall for several months, except for June. Low amounts of sunlight and a cool summer delayed the growing speed of the grapes by about a week later than usual. Although the weather became sunnier by the end of August, the growth rate was still below normal, causing the grapes to gain a relatively low sugar content, and dark grapes did not color as well..

yTasting Commentsz
Orange yellow color in the glass. The bouquet is a complex blend of the rich, thick aroma of sweet fruits, such as ripe white and yellow peaches balanced with white pepper, clear honey, and yuzu (an aromatic citron) peel. This wine has a mellow attack recalling ripe white peaches and pineapple juice, with mild acidity, coming together in a crisp and bracing aftertaste. This 2003 vintage is likely to have a more distinct character than the previous vintage. Sauted boneless chicken leg or sliced pork will go very well with this wine. (Comment on June 2004)
