The cumulative sunshine hours were rather low during July and August due to cloudy weather. The temperature however was warm, and rainfall was below average, except for August, allowing the grapes to grow satisfactorily. We harvested the grapes for this wine between the end of September and the middle of October, which was relatively later than average. Because each section matured differently according to the altitude, this year we picked the grapes according to their degree of maturity.

yTasting Commentsz
Although it is not fully open, a creamy, fragrant aroma of yellow peach, pineapple, toast, caramel, and chestnut drift up to the nose. An abundant fruitiness and pleasant acidity come together in a harmonious balance. On the palate this wine shows a rich and oily mouthfeel, with a sweet and toasty flavor of vanilla-flavored caramel lingering on the aftertaste. Enjoy this wine at an easy pace with savory and creamy foods, such as butter sauted boneless chicken leg, prawn tempura (Japanese style deep-fry: kuruma ebi prawn), and pasta with cream sauce, with crispy small-fry toppings.
